Korean international adoption began in the 1950s after the Korean War, when many children were left without families. Since then, more than 200,000 Korean children have been adopted into homes across 40+ countries.
It is a history shaped by both love and loss — and we hold space for all of it.

Support a Korean Adoptee Film Project
We’re also excited to share a new creative project from Korean adoptee filmmaker Dahee Kim.
Her upcoming short film, The Reunion, is launching a crowdfunding campaign from March 30 – April 29 on Seed&Spark.
The film follows a Korean American adoptee traveling to Seoul to meet her biological mother for the first time—an experience inspired by Dahee’s own reunion with her birth mother in 2022.
The team is raising $20,000 toward a $50,000 production budget, and community support can help bring this story to life.

그녀의 신작 단편 영화 The Reunion은 Seed&Spark에서 3월 30일부터 4월 29일까지 프로덕션 지원 모금을 위해 크라우드펀딩 캠페인을 진행합니다.
이 영화는 한국계 미국인 입양인이 친어머니를 처음 만나기 위해 서울을 찾는 이야기를 담고 있으며, 이는 다희 감독이 2022년에 실제로 경험한 친모와의 재회를 바탕으로 만들어졌습니다.
현재 제작팀은 5만 달러 제작 예산 중 2만 달러 모금을 목표로 하고 있으며, 영화를 만드는 과정에 큰 힘이 됩니다.
